He found a Technical bulliten from Toyota that was sent to dealers 6 months before I went in. The bulletin described the problem I was having and it also descibed a fix for the problem. I called the dealer when finding this out and they said I was out of warranty. So no I do not think the US government has anything to do with Toyota’s problems.

@1ectoplasm actually I think the NSA is messing with Toyota’s electronics to give our domestic brands a better advantage. I’m not being serious. I own a Toyats Seqouia and a year ago I took it in for a knocking noise during acceleration. They said I lost some transmission bolts. The noise never really went away so I had a buddy look at it.

@1ectoplasm What grows a business is demand and price of product. Oil and gas are not immune to this. In fact since they are commodities speculation on the demand of these products is the biggest cause of their value fluctuation not real time market demand. When oil was $150 a barrel I had customers spending like drunken sailors. 4 months later they were crying in their beers. All the while government had little impact on the oil market.
