@BruceH59 Controlled clear cutting is good.The key word there being controlled.All I was trying to say is someone has to be watching these people.They cannot be allowed to do whatever they want in the pusuit of money but at the expense of the environment.There are extremists in every group and I’m not defending environmentalist as a whole.

Controlled clear cutting is very beneficial to wildlife. But the idiot Greens closed down a lot of any type of logging on Federal land. This country has to make it’s own everything and it’s citizens need to buy American made products.Immigration must be stopped as well.If we don’t we are doomed.There will always be someone in another country who can do it cheaper but that doesn’t benefit anyone except the importer.The idea that Americans won’t do the work immigrants do is offensive to the many Americans who need the work and would be happy to do it!

I share similar concerns. But, I also wonder if we really need more cars, new computers, new medicine, new GMO, etc. I wonder if it’s better if people were less dependent on the economy and more independent especially in terms of the food supply and health. Perhaps, we could be a lot happier and the economy could be a lot smaller. I’m just wondering.

Had you said yes, they would have taken your cash along with all the other marks and securitized these warrantys, which after being rated triple AAA by moodys and fitch could have been sold into pension funds who in turn could have leveraged them 100:1 with OTC derivatives in which AIG could have created a credit default swap on them with GOLDMAN SACHS being the counterparty….
